Lamb Day, Saturday April 20th

Lamb Day at Socks Family Farm! Join us for a day of farm fun on Saturday April 20th , 4-5:30 pm.  In addition to meeting our 14 frisky and curious lambs and their moms, you can check out our raw wool and tanned sheepskins, get free garden and homestead help from The Garden Goddess consulting service, place advance orders for chicken and lamb, and learn about camping, tours, and PYO fruit at Socks Family Farm. Looking forward to seeing you on the farm!

Gearing up for spring

With the snow falling thick and fast, it's hard to picture everything warm and green...but it isn't far off! Our ewes are looking plump, with lambing just a few weeks away. We'll be starting our veggie and perennial seedlings soon, and pruning the fruit trees and bushes. It's also time to plan infrastructure maintenance and improvement: fencing, greenhouse trellising, equipment storage. We aim to keep our farm and homestead running efficiently (keeping things weeded, healthy, and productive) while leaving ourselves time for summer fun (hiking, kayaking, music, and all that VT has to offer!)

We think that others would like to streamline their homesteads and gardens, too, so we've launched "The Garden Goddess" consulting. Our goal is to help people have more fun, and less frustration.
